Dr. Meike Ahrends

Dr. Meike Ahrends is a seasoned finance professional currently serving as Senior Expert in Corporate Development at Hamburg Commercial Bank since May 2017, after previously holding the position of Associate in M&A at the same institution. Prior experience includes a tenure as Research Associate at Universität Hamburg from October 2013 to April 2017 and work as a Consultant in Advisory & Transaction Advisory at EY from August 2012 to September 2013. Dr. Ahrends holds a Master of Science in Finance from the University of Mannheim (2009-2012), a PhD in Corporate Finance from the University of Hamburg (2013-2017), and a Bachelor of Science in Economics from The University of Bonn (2006-2009), complemented by an exchange semester at QUT in 2011.
