Bruno C. R. Borges is an experienced anesthesiologist and educator currently serving as the Obstetrical Anesthesia Fellowship Program Director and Associate Professor at McMaster University and Hamilton Health Sciences since January 2011. In these roles, Bruno teaches topics such as stress management, leadership, and pediatric and obstetric anesthesia, while also leading obstetrical anesthesia services. Additionally, Bruno has accumulated significant clinical experience in pediatric and ambulatory anesthesia. Previous appointments include Chief Clinical Fellow in Pediatric Anesthesia at The Hospital for Sick Children, a fellowship in Difficult Airway/Simulation at St. Michael's Hospital, and a Clinical Fellowship in Obstetric Anesthesia at Mount Sinai Hospital, where critical skills in anesthesia delivery and research were developed. Bruno earned a Doctor of Medicine degree from Universidade Federal de Pernambuco and completed a residency in Anesthesiology at FAMERP, where Bruno was chief resident.
