Barb Walters

Barb Walters currently serves as the Executive Director of Exceptional Learners at Hamilton Southeastern Schools since July 2024. Prior to this role, Barb Walters was the Assistant Director of Special Education at Westfield Washington Schools from August 2022 to July 2024 and held a similar position at Hamilton Southeastern Schools from July 2007 to July 2022, focusing on supervising special education programs and guiding School Psychologists. Previous experience includes working as a School Psychologist at Hamilton Boone Madison Special Education Cooperative and Marion Community Schools, where evaluations and multidisciplinary team collaboration were key duties. Barb Walters began the career as the Director of Diagnostics and Outpatient Services at the Youth Opportunity Center, managing psychological evaluations. Educational qualifications include a PhD and MA in School Psychology from Ball State University and a BS in Psychology from Illinois State University.
