Ala al-Kajela

Ala Al-kajela is an experienced English Second Language Instructor currently serving at Hamilton-Wentworth Catholic District School Board since March 2019 and at St. Charles Adult and Continuing Education Centre since March 2018. Additionally, Ala has been a Sessional Lecturer at McMaster University since September 2019 and will instruct at St. Luis Adult and Continuing Education Centre until 2024. Previous roles include Freelance Interpreter from January 2010 to June 2017 and Teaching Assistant in the Department of Linguistics and Languages at McMaster University from September 2012 to June 2016. Ala's career began as a Lecturer at the University of Dohuk, where responsibilities included teaching various English language subjects and serving as Head of the English Language Department. Ala holds a PhD in Linguistics from McMaster University, earned between 2012 and 2017.
