Karen Sargent

Karen Sargent is a seasoned communications professional with extensive experience in various leadership roles. Currently serving as the Head of Communications at Hamlins LLP since January 2021, Karen previously worked as a Communications Consultant. Karen's significant role as the Chief Operating Officer at The Buy-Side Club involved partnering with investment firms to enhance talent acquisition and retention strategies. Further experience includes positions such as Senior Communications Advisor at the UK Ministry of Justice and Head of Internal Communications at the Central Office of Information. Karen also held the role of Head of Employee Engagement at the Food Standards Agency and Internal Communications Manager at Nestle S.A. Additionally, Karen began a career as a freelance copywriter and web editor. Karen holds a BA in Classical Civilisation from the University of Leeds, completed in 1997.
