Chris Gitch, CSP

Chris Gitch, CSP, has a diverse work experience in the field of safety and environmental management. Chris most recently worked as a Safety Technology Consultant at HammerTech_NorthAm and HammerTech, starting in 2023. Prior to that, they served as a Senior Safety Program Manager at NTT Global Data Centers from 2021 to 2023.

Before transitioning into consulting roles, Chris worked as a Loss Control Engineer at Facebook from 2018 to 2021, where they focused on ensuring safety at the workplace. Chris also gained experience as a Process Safety Management (PSM) Engineer at DuPont from 2016 to 2017 and as an EH&S Coordinator - Projects at ONEOK in early 2016.

Chris's career began as a Firefighter at Dickinson Fire Department from 2015 to 2016, where they gained valuable experience in emergency response. Chris also worked as an HES Professional at Marathon Oil Corporation from 2015 to 2015, handling environmental incidents and managing waste and greenhouse gas emissions.

Chris Gitch, CSP, completed a Bachelor of Science in Fire Protection & Safety Engineering Technology from Oklahoma State University. Chris attended the university from 2011 to 2014. Prior to that, Chris earned an Associate of Applied Science degree in Entry-Level Firefighting from Kirkwood Community College, which they attended from 2009 to 2011.

Alongside their formal education, Chris has focused on obtaining certifications to further enhance their knowledge and expertise. Chris obtained the Certified Safety Professional (CSP) certification from the Board of Certified Safety Professionals in January 2019. Additionally, Chris holds certifications such as the Construction Risk Insurance Specialist certification from the International Risk Management Institute, Inc. (IRMI) obtained in November 2019, the Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST) certification from the Board of Certified Safety Professionals obtained in April 2018, and the Graduate Safety Practitioner certification from the Board of Certified Safety Professionals obtained in January 2015.
