James McCarthy

James McCarthy has extensive law enforcement experience, currently serving at the Hampden County Sheriff's Department since November 2022, while also holding the position of Police Sergeant at SCPD and Springfield College Police since December 2007 and May 2009, respectively. Previous roles include EMT-B at Baystate Medical Center and Senior Officer at Mount Holyoke College Police. Early career experiences comprise positions as an Auxiliary Officer with West Springfield Special Police and Granby Police, and a Supervisor at Holyoke Hospital Security, where McCarthy was the first graduate of the Special State Police Officer academy.
