Danita R. Potter, PhD, MSN, APRN, PMHNP-BC, CAS, currently serves as the Dean and Professor at Hampton University School of Nursing since July 2024. Potter is also the CEO and Founder of Reframing for Life, LLC, a mental health provider for children, adolescents, and young adults in Louisiana. In addition to these roles, Potter has been an Adjunct Faculty PMHNP-BC at Northwestern State University since April 2016, and previously held positions as the Dean of Nursing and Allied Health at Louisiana Delta Community College and as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner-Board Certified at Morehouse Community Medical Centers. Potter's extensive academic background includes degrees and certifications from Hampton University, Alcorn State University, Northwestern State University, Grambling State University, and a Certificate in Teaching Excellence from the University of Louisiana Monroe. Leadership roles include serving as President of the Beta Chi Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing.
