Danae Kovac

Danae Kovac is an experienced leader in operational management and resource development, currently serving as the Deputy Director at HANA Center since February 2020. Prior experience includes the role of Chief Operating Officer at the National Immigrant Justice Center, where Danae focused on strategic implementation to support justice for immigrants, and Associate Director of Resource Development, managing fundraising and grant initiatives. Previous positions also include Deputy Director and Director of Operations & Development at Lawndale Christian Legal Center, and Director of Operations & Marketing at the Women's Business Development Center in Chicago, where Danae enhanced operational efficiency and client services. Early career roles included support at the American Educational Research Association and program development as an AmeriCorps VISTA at The Enterprising Kitchen. Danae holds a B.A. in Sociology, Urban Studies, and Mathematics from Wheaton College.
