Previously, Doug held leadership roles at GMB Architecture + Engineering as the National Higher Education Practice Leader, at Ghafari Associates as the global Director of Education, and at SmithGroup and CannonDesign, where contributions included educational design leadership and business development. Doug began their career at Hanbury and has a strong academic background, holding a Master’s Degree in Architecture with an emphasis in Sustainable Design from The University of Texas at Austin and dual degrees in Architecture and English Literature from the University of Virginia.
