Karin Askelof has extensive work experience in sustainability and responsible investments. Karin is currently serving as the Head of Sustainability at Polarium since April 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Handelsbanken Asset Management, where they held the roles of Deputy Head of Responsible Investments and Head of Sustainability from September 2017 to March 2022. Karin also has experience in strategy and impact management, having served as a Senior Manager Strategy & Impact at Swedfund International since September 2013. Karin has previously held positions as an Investment Manager and Financial Analyst at Swedfund International. In addition, Karin has worked as the Head of Sustainability at Handelsbanken Asset Management from December 2018 to April 2022. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Project Manager in the International Department at Stokholm Chamber of Commerce from November 2005 to February 2008.

Karin Askelof began their education journey in 1999 at the Stockholm School of Economics, where they studied Accounting & Financial Management. Karin completed their studies in 2004 but did not specify a degree name.
