Tom Jay

Tom Jay has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Tom started their career as a Product + Graphic Designer at Relyon from 2006 to 2009. After that, they worked as a Graphic Art Designer for Wall to Wall Productions, Juniper Productions, and Blakeway Productions, where they created props for shows on Channel 4. From 2012 to 2014, they worked as a Visual Designer at FabriQate, Brilliant Basics, and Reason Ltd, executing visual designs for various projects. In 2014, they became a Senior Interaction Designer at Reason Ltd, where they worked until 2016. During this time, they also held the position of Senior Visual Designer at SapientRazorfish, where they worked on designing a responsive website for Aviva Business. In 2016, they joined ustwo as a Senior Designer, working on mobile apps for Amex. Tom'smost recent position is at HandsHQ, where they initially worked as a Product Designer from 2019 to 2021 and is currently serving as the Lead Product Designer.

Tom Jay's education history is as follows:

From 2007 to 2011, Tom attended Brunel University London and obtained a degree in Product Design with Professional Development BSc. During this time, they studied various subjects including Product Design, Graphic Design, Mechanics, Context Design, Electronics, and Design for Manufacture.

In 2009 and 2010, Tom pursued Professional Development in Product and Graphic Design at San Francisco State University.

In 2015, Tom took a short course at the University of the Arts London called "Adobe After Effects and Animation: Intermediate."

In 2016, Tom attended General Assembly and participated in various classes and workshops.

In 2017, Tom attended the Interaction 17 conference where they focused on the topic "Crafting the Discovery Phase: Starting Design Projects Right."

In addition to their formal education, Tom has obtained several certifications. In 2015, they completed the "IDEO Design Kit: Prototyping" course offered by +Acumen. In 2016, they completed the "Presence Training - Foundation 1" and "Presence Training - Foundation 2" courses offered by Presence Training. In 2017, they obtained the "Level 1: Collaboration & Alignment" certification from AgencyAgile Inc. Lastly, in 2019, they completed the "Power of Purpose" course offered by IDEO U. Most recently, in 2022, Tom completed the "Code Foundations Skill Path" offered by Codecademy.
