Candace McIlroy has been serving as the Communications and Technology Coordinator for the Hanford Joint Union High School District since August 1999, where responsibilities include coordinating daily IT functions, strategic planning, project management, and managing G Suite services. In previous roles within the district, Candace has focused on public relations, acting as the official spokesperson, overseeing district publications, and managing web and social media initiatives. Prior reporting experience includes positions at The Hanford Sentinel and The Fresno Bee, where Candace specialized in education-related news and community-oriented stories. Candace holds a B.A. in Mass Communications and Journalism from California State University, Fresno.

The Hanford Joint Union High School District (HJUHSD) is a 9-12 public school district serving the students and families of the western half of Kings County, California, in the heart of the Central San Joaquin Valley, including the cities of Hanford and Armona. Founded in 1892, HJUHSD today employs about 400 faculty and staff and serves approximately 6,000 students at five schools: Hanford High School, Hanford West High School, Sierra Pacific High School, Earl F. Johnson High School and Hanford Adult School.
