George Amanakis

George Amanakis is a physician scientist at Hannover Medical School since July 2021. Prior to this role, George served as a research fellow at the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute from 2016 to November 2021 and completed a doctoral fellowship at the University of Duisburg-Essen between May 2013 and December 2015. Additionally, George worked as a resident physician in Internal Medicine and Cardiology at Katholisches Klinikum Essen GmbH from July 2010 to December 2015. Education includes a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) obtained from the University of Crete from 2002 to 2008 and a Dr. med. degree in Medicine from the University of Duisburg-Essen from 2013 to 2020.
