Alexandra Wiktorek has a diverse work experience spanning various research and analysis roles. Alexandra began their professional career as a Translator and Editor for Indiana University Press, where they worked on translating and co-editing a book. Later, they joined the Foreign Policy Research Institute as an Associate Scholar, conducting research and writing on democratic transitions and authoritarian regression. In this role, they also led a team of researchers and interns, providing coaching and guidance on research and writing skills. Alexandra then worked as an Eastern Europe Analyst for Navanti Group before transitioning to a similar role at Hanover Research. Most recently, they have held the position of Research Director at Hanover Research. Throughout their career, they have demonstrated expertise in conducting research, analyzing data, and disseminating information tailored for different audiences.
Alexandra Wiktorek has a diverse education history. Alexandra has studied Political Science at the University of Pennsylvania, where they pursued a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree. At Georgetown University, they obtained a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Russian, Central European, East European and Eurasian Studies. Alexandra also holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree from Cornell University in Russian Language and Literature, with a secondary field in Psychology. Alexandra has further enhanced their language skills through study abroad programs at the International University in Moscow (IUM) and Moscow University for the Humanities. Additionally, they have obtained a Certificate in College and University Teaching from the University of Pennsylvania Center for Teaching and Learning.
