Assistant Superintendent:  Hansen Construction is seeking detail oriented, hardworking individuals with an eye for detail.  Our core values are Excellence, Positivity, Passion, Professionalism, and Integrity.  The employee will need experience in carpentry and layout.  We are looking for solution oriented people who are passionate about quality.  Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team atmosphere are critical.  Job duties include the following:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintaining a safe job site

  • Assisting the project Superintendent with scheduling of subcontractors and associated work on site

  • Assisting with the layout of all applicable trades indicated in the plans and specifications with the assistance of a layout foreman

  • Review of project submittals for code compliance, constructability, and conflicts with other trades

  • Assisting the project Superintendent with managing on site personnel

  • Communication with architects, owners and other consultants on the project

  • Quality control

  • Assisting the project Superintendent with the completion of a daily log outlining on site personnel, safety incidents, weather, observations of incorrect installation

  • Coordinating material orders, including takeoffs, deliveries, handling and storage

  • Ensuring project is executed in compliance with the plans, specification, submittals and other project documents

  • Maintaining a positive working environment

  • Proactive approach to each trade to ensure that our subcontractors are successful

  • Professional and positive approach to all involved in the project including but not limited to Owners, Architects, Consultants, Owners Representatives, Subcontractors, and Field Personnel.

  • Working closely with the Project Manager and Superintendent to complete RFIs with a proactive, solution oriented approach

EXPERIENCE:

  • 5-10 years experience in the field.  High end residential experience preferred.
  • Ability to layout in the field with the assistance of survey points
  • Proficiency in Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Excel, Word.
  • Extensive knowledge in all technical aspects of construction
  • Proficiency in plan reading
