We are now looking for a Business Development Manager to join our team. The selected candidate will oversee business development activities in Nigeria, focusing on identifying and targeting new business opportunities to establish a strong revenue base in alignment with company targets.

Responsibilities:

Client Acquisition:
•Identify and target potential clients through various channels (networking, referrals, direct outreach, events).
•Develop and execute strategic plans to acquire new clients and grow the client base.
•Conduct presentations and product demonstrations to prospective clients.
•Negotiate and close deals, ensuring alignment with the company's objectives and client needs.

Partnership Development:
•Identify and establish relationships with potential business partners, including introducing brokers (IBs), asset managers, affiliates, and institutional partners.
•Develop partnership strategies and proposals to attract and retain partners.
•Manage and nurture existing partnerships to maximize mutual benefits and revenue opportunities.

Market Research and Analysis:
•Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor activities, and potential opportunities.
•Provide insights and recommendations based on market analysis to support business development strategies.

Client Relationship Management:
•Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and retention.
•Act as a primary point of contact for key clients, addressing their needs and resolving any issues that arise.

Collaboration and Reporting:
•Collaborate with internal teams (sales, marketing, operations) to ensure seamless execution of business development initiatives.
•Prepare regular reports on business development activities, performance, and outcomes.
Stakeholder Reporting:
•Provide regular updates to senior stakeholders on progress against key performance indicators (KPIs).

Regional Growth Maximisation:
•Optimise growth potential within the region.

Key KPIs:

  • Achieve a target of $100,000.00 in net deposits within the first three months.

  • Onboard a minimum of 50 new clients.

Required skills:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent

  • 3 yrs + experience (desirable)

  • Aspirational/Entrepreneurial

  • Numbers driven

  • Demonstrated track record of increasing revenue through generation of leads

  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
