Joon Jin

Joon Jin, currently serving as SVP at Hanwha Group since September 2021, leads biotech business development and equity investment efforts at Hanwha Impact. Previously, Joon held the position of Acting President at CJ Biomaterials from October 2016 to August 2021, overseeing the company's formation following the acquisition of PHA assets from Metabolix. Prior to that role, Joon served as a Specialist in Biotech R&BD Strategic Planning at CJ CheilJedang BIO from January 2013 to October 2016. Joon Jin's educational background includes an MBA with High Honors from the Questrom School of Business at Boston University, a PhD in Cell & Molecular Biology from Pohang University of Science and Technology, and a Bachelor of Science degree, summa cum laude, from Seoul National University. Joon was also the valedictorian at POSCO/Pocheol High School.
