Colin Gallacher is the co-founder of Haply Robotics, a company that specializes in developing accessible tools for haptic simulation in STEM fields. Prior to Haply, Colin was a research associate at The University of British Columbia, where they led the development work for a National Science Foundation (NSF) project with Stanford University and UBC. Colin has also worked as a technical officer at the National Research Council Canada / Conseil national de recherches Canada, where they developed robotic instrumentation and tooling for the NRC Medical Device Portfolio. In addition to their work in the private sector, Colin has also been an incubatee at McGill X-1 Accelerator and a summer intern at Bombardier Aerospace.
Colin Gallacher has a Master's degree in Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation Engineering from McGill University. Colin also has a GrDip in Computer Science from Concordia University and a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) in Mechanical Engineering from McGill University. Colin attended high school at Lakefield College School.
