Luka Franić

Luka Franić has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. In 2011, they started their career as an EPM developer (Oracle Hyperion) at Combis d.o.o. Luka then worked as a Technical Consultant at Combis d.o.o. from July 2012 to July 2014, and again from December 2014 to August 2016.

In 2016, Luka joined Zagrebačka banka as a Senior Database Analyst from August 2016 to May 2018. Luka then advanced to the role of Lead Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence Specialist from June 2018 to March 2020. In these roles, Luka was responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the Credit Risk Data system. Luka also gathered and analyzed business requirements, designed Data Warehouse and Data Mart infrastructure, and effectively communicated design ideas.

From March 2020 to March 2021, Luka worked as a Data Engineer at Axilis, where they were the DataOps team lead. In this role, they gained hands-on experience in AWS PaaS and IaaS, and conducted data munging with Python. Luka then transitioned to the role of Data Engineering Team Lead at Axilis from March 2021 to October 2022.

Currently, Luka holds the position of (Data) Engineering Manager at Happening, starting in October 2022.

Luka Franić has a strong educational background in economics and informatics. Luka obtained their Master's degree in Economics with a specialization in Managerial Informatics from the University of Zagreb/Sveuciliste u Zagrebu in the year 2010. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor's degree in Business with a specialization in Managerial Informatics from the same university in the year 2009.

In addition to their formal education, Luka Franić has also obtained several certifications. In March 2016, they became an Oracle Business Intelligence Foundation Suite 11g Certified Implementation Specialist. In January 2014, they achieved the Oracle Hyperion Planning 11 Certified Implementation Specialist certification. More recently, in November 2019, Luka completed the Python for Everybody Specialization from Coursera.
