Shyam Viking

Shyam Viking has a range of experience in the field of data engineering and database administration. Shyam began their career in 2000 at Dishnet Dsl Ltd, now known as Tata VSNL, where they initially worked in web programming with SQL Server 6. Shyam then transitioned to the role of Database Administrator before leaving in 2003. Shyam joined Covansys in 2003 as a Database Administrator and stayed until 2005 when they moved to Mindtree. At Mindtree, they served as a SQL Server Architect until 2012. Since 2012, Shyam has been working at Happiest Min, where they started as the Principal Architect (Databases) and is currently the Sr Director of Data Engineering.

Shyam Viking completed their Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electrical and Electronics from the University of Madras from 1994 to 1998. Prior to that, they graduated from Modern School in 1994 with a focus on Maths, Biology, Physics, and Chemistry for their 12th Grade education. Shyam also attended Horsley Hills School from 1990 to 1992, where they completed their 10th Grade education with a curriculum including Science, Maths, English, History, and Geography. Additionally, Shyam has obtained certifications in Advanced Cypher Queries and Modeling in Neo4j from Neo Technology, the creators of Neo4j, in 2016 and 2015 respectively. Shyam also holds Microsoft certifications, including MCTS: SQL Server 2008 in Database Development and Installation and Maintenance in June 2012.
