Chief Financial Officer at HappyCo

Justin Morrison is currently the Chief Financial Officer at HappyCo, a position they have held since September 2018. Prior to this, they were with McCrae Investments, where they served as part-time CFO from November 2017 to December 2020. In this role, they worked across a number of assets, most recently the listing on the ASX of Tombador Iron (ASX: TI1), a high grade Brazilian Iron Ore mine.

Before joining McCrae Investments, Justin Morrison held various positions with companies operating in Australia and the US, including CFO for Saas and other enterprises. Justin began their career with IKEA in August 2009 as General Manager of Finance for the Western Australia and South Australia IKEA Franchise. In this role, they worked closely with owner and key managers to ensure the long-term profitability of the business and managed external relationships with banks, auditors, solicitors and insurers.

During their time with IKEA, Justin Morrison also served on the superannuation committee, was the IKEA BPIT (Business Process and Information Technology) Australia representative, and was the company Privacy Officer. Other responsibilities included developing and overseeing KPI reporting, company budgets and forecasts, foreign exchange hedging program, working cross departmentally with IT to develop business solutions and improved processes; HR (annual increases, people issues etc.); Marketing - various initiatives or drives to increase turnover; Logistics for example on optimal stock holdings, managing purchases etc

Justin Morrison completed a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) with a major in Accounting and Finance from Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University. Justin later became certified as a Chartered Accountant from Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand.
