Steve Hansted has over 25 years of experience in the immersive virtual reality industry. Steve began their career in 1993 at Fakespace, Inc., where they worked in Sales and Marketing. In 1995, they moved to MultiGen-Paradigm, Inc. (currently Presagis) as a Systems Engineer and Product Manager. In 2001, they co-founded Glass House Studio, LLC., where they served as Director of Client Interaction. In 2004, they became a Senior Support Engineer at Quantum 3D, Inc. In 2005, they worked as a Virtual Stage Manager at Forterra Systems Inc. and as Director of Product Management, Creator and OpenFlight API at MultiGen-Paradigm, Inc. In 2011, they became Director of Virtual Reality Products at Thrive Research Inc. In 2010, they co-founded Vactor Studio LLC and served as Virtual Stage Manager. From 2013 to 2022, they worked at Sixense Enterprises Inc. in various roles, including Product Manager / Director of Business Development / Sr. Director of Project Management and Advisory Board Member. Currently, they are the Customer Experience Manager at HaptX Inc.

Steve Hansted received a BA in Industrial Arts - Product Design from San Francisco State University in 1993 and an MFA in Theatre Arts from the same university.
