Michelle McCullough

Michelle McCullough has extensive experience in risk management in the hospitality industry. Michelle started their career at Treasure Island Hotel & Casino in 1993, where they worked their way up from a security position to become the Risk Management Manager. In this role, they implemented various programs and conducted risk assessments to reduce risk exposures.

From 2003 to 2009, Michelle worked as a Risk Manager at The Mirage, handling property and casualty claims, litigation management, contract review, and certificate of insurance programs. Michelle also led a floor safety program that significantly reduced slip and fall incidents.

Michelle then joined MGM Grand Hotel & Casino Las Vegas as the Director of Risk Management from 2009 to 2013. In this role, they oversaw property and casualty claims, litigation management, and contractual indemnity review. Michelle also led a successful workers' compensation program that resulted in cost savings and improved employee engagement.

Following their time at MGM Grand, Michelle served as the Director of Risk Management at Bellagio from 2013 to 2015. Michelle managed claims for both Bellagio and Monte Carlo, resolved customer service issues, and conducted risk assessments. Michelle collaborated with project management teams to achieve renovation goals.

Since 2015, Michelle has been the Regional Director of Risk Management at Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino. In this position, they have had operational oversight of the risk management department, handling various responsibilities such as general liability claims, litigation management, finance reporting, customer service issues, contract review, and safety. Under their leadership, claims and costs were reduced by 25%, and they accomplished annual renewals for property and casualty insurance and workers' compensation.

Most recently, Michelle joined Hard Rock International as the Director of Risk Management for Mirage Las Vegas in 2022. Michelle'sresponsibilities in this role include overseeing risk management operations and ensuring the implementation of effective risk mitigation strategies.

Throughout their career, Michelle has consistently demonstrated their expertise in risk management, achieving positive outcomes and contributing to the overall success of the organizations they have worked for.

Michelle McCullough's education history includes studying Business Administration, Management, and Operations at the College of Southern Nevada. Michelle has obtained several certifications, including Interpersonal Communication, Power BI: Dashboards for Beginners, We Need to Talk (Blinkist Summary), Construction Management: Managing Risk, Learning Data Governance, and The New Age of Risk Management Strategy for Business, all from LinkedIn in 2022.
