Chris Lewis

Chris Lewis is an experienced professional in risk and compliance, currently serving as the Operating Partner for Global Risk and Compliance at Hard Yaka since September 2021. Previously, Chris held the position of Chief Risk and Compliance Officer at LendUp from May 2019 to July 2021 and served as Director at Promontory Financial Group, LLC from March 2008 to April 2019. Additional roles include Executive Vice President at both Washington Mutual Card Services and Providian Financial, as well as Senior Advisor to the Comptroller at the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency. Chris's academic background includes a Ph.D. candidacy in Social Anthropology from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor of Arts from Boston University, where Chris participated in the University Scholars Program in Anthropology and Philosophy.
