Don Vieira

Don Vieira is a Partner and Global Chief Policy Officer at Sequoia Capital, a position held since October 2019. Vieira also serves as a Board of Trustees member for The American Academy in Berlin, a role commenced in November 2024. In June 2024, Vieira became a Counselor at the Portuguese Diaspora Council, recognized as a Non-Governmental Organization for Development. Additionally, Vieira holds various board positions, including membership on the boards of Hakluyt & Company, the National Venture Capital Association, and Genuity Science. Previous experience includes serving as a Partner at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP and Affiliates and Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, along with roles at the U.S. Department of Justice and the U.S. House of Representatives. Education includes a JD from Georgetown University Law Center and a BA in Political Science and International Relations from Boston University, with additional studies as a Visiting Scholar at the University of Oxford.
