Allison has over 15 years of experience leading social science research and community engagement efforts. She brings a deep understanding of how environment, policies, and systems impact community health and has directed strategic solutions to improve health across has worked across multiple organizations and initiatives. She has overseen numerous projects aimed at formulating recommendations for improving the delivery of public services, lending her perspective on the nuanced challenges faced by public agencies, nonprofit service providers, and funders. Allison’s areas of expertise include public health and interrelated sectors such as early childhood development, oral health, healthy eating, active living, and youth development. These social impact areas are prominent in her engagements, which range from intricate multi-site evaluations to community-driven planning processes to improve the wellbeing of vulnerable populations. In addition, Allison provides data management and quality assurance guidance for projects firm-wide, and leads research design efforts for highly complex engagements.
Prior to joining Harder+Company in 2003, Allison worked as an evaluation specialist for the Institute for Public Health at San Diego State University, where she evaluated local HIV and other STI prevention interventions. Allison is a long-time volunteer for the Laurel Foundation, an organization that provides educational and support programs to children, youth and families affected by HIV/AIDS, transgender youth and other at-risk youth populations She is also involved in many local community efforts, both as a volunteer grant writer for a local school, and in the regional chapter of Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense. Allison enjoys camping and playing board games with her family.
