Jem Marasigan

Research Associate at Harder+Company Community Research

Jem is a skilled researcher specializing in economics with a focus on policy and sustainable development. She has experience designing and disseminating qualitative surveys, recruiting study participants, and conducting interviews. She is also adept at organizing, managing, and analyzing datasets as well as creating data visualizations. Jem is proficient in Spanish.

Previously, Jem worked for Nextrade Group, LLC, where her projects included data collection of multiple economic and political indicators for 150 countries. As a student researcher at the University of California, San Diego, she conducted a study to determine whether fostering political engagement in introductory economics courses resulted in higher voter participation rates. With Operation Samahan, she created health education materials and dissemination strategies for Asian and Pacific Islander women. In her free time, Jem loves exploring, whether it’s through camping in the mountains or visiting all the coffee shops in a new city.
