John Mulkey has over 25 years of experience in the gaming industry. John began their career as a Designer at Aramat Productions in 1998. John then joined Monolith Productions in 1999, where they worked on various projects as a Level Designer before eventually becoming the Lead Level Designer. In 2008, John moved to id Software as a Design Director, leading a team in the creation of a new game in the DOOM franchise. After three years, they joined Gearbox Software as the Design Director for Aliens: Colonial Marines. During this time, they coordinated and directed four studios to complete the game. In 2018, John joined 343 Industries, initially as the Lead Systems Designer for Halo Infinite and later as the Campaign Lead Game Designer. John played a crucial role in designing game mechanics and systems for the campaign. Currently, John is the Director of Design at Hardsuit Labs, where they bring their extensive experience and expertise to lead the design team.
