Daria Parry

Daria Parry has extensive work experience in the library field. Daria started their career as a Branch Librarian at Captiva Memorial Library in 1992. Daria then went on to work at Pine Island Public Library and Bonita Springs Public Library in similar roles. In 1999, they became the Manager of Central Library Services at Lee County Library. After that, they worked as the Youth Services/Outreach Coordinator at Washoe County Library and as the Community Access and Facilities Manager at Eugene Public Library. In 2003, they became the Dean of Library Services at Bates Technical College. Daria then moved on to work as an Agency Manager at Montgomery County Public Library. From 2006 to 2011, they held the position of Chief, Public Libraries and State Networking Branch at Maryland State Department of Education. Finally, they joined Harford County Public Library in 2011 as the Chief Operating Officer.

Daria Parry holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from the University of Rhode Island. Daria also has a Master of Arts degree in Library and Information Science from the University of South Florida. Additionally, they have obtained a Maryland Educator Certificate from the Maryland State Department of Education.
