Ben van der Merwe

Ben Van Der Merwe is a seasoned business and operations manager with extensive experience in the mining, minerals, and steel industries. Currently serving as the Business Manager for Hargreaves South Africa since 2016, Ben previously held the position of Area Manager at Fraser Alexander from 2009 to 2015, overseeing comprehensive operations management, P&L responsibilities, and SHEQ activities across various customer sites. Prior to that, Ben managed multiple sites for Harsco Metals & Minerals from 2000 to 2009, focusing on operations, safety, logistics, and training, as well as serving as a Maintenance Foreman at BHP Billiton in the 1990s.
