Jaap van Den Born

Jaap van den Born is a seasoned professional in the chemical industry with extensive experience in commercial and operational roles. Currently serving as the Operating Officer at Harima Chemicals Group Inc since June 2022, Jaap also holds the position of Deputy Board Member at SunPine. With a long tenure at Lawter Inc., beginning in February 2011 as Commercial Director for EMEA & NA, Jaap has played a crucial role in the company's transition following its sale from Hexion. Prior experience includes significant positions at Hexion and AkzoNobel, where responsibilities increased from Sales Manager to Global Commercial Manager, focusing on integration and management of sales teams across Europe and other regions. Jaap began a career in sales engineering with Nalco Chemical Company after earning an MSc in Chemical Technology from Delft University of Technology.
