Mike Valentine has accumulated valuable experience in the education sector over the years. Starting as an Assistant Principal at Rockford Public Schools in 2002, they then moved on to become a Principal at Abraham Lincoln Middle School in 2003. Subsequently, they held the position of Principal at Rockford Guilford High School before transitioning to Assistant Principal at Roosevelt High School in 2010. Following this, they served as the Principal at Rochelle Middle School in the Rochelle School District #231 from 2012 to 2016. Mike then took on various roles at Harlem Consolidated School District #122, starting as a Teacher in 2016, then progressing to Assistant Principal, and finally becoming the School Principal in 2023.
Mike Valentine earned their Master of Arts (M.A.) in Education/Teaching of Individuals with Specific Learning Disabilities from Rockford University in 2000. Mike then went on to obtain an Administrative Certificate in Educational Leadership and Administration, General from Northern Illinois University in 2001.
