Ernst Nijhuis has extensive work experience in the field of software engineering and development. Ernst started their career in 2006 as a Storingsanalist at KPN and worked there until 2010. In 2007, they also worked as a NOC engineer at Reasonnet BV. From 2009 to 2011, they served as a Software Engineer at Magistics. In 2010, they joined J.J.P. Mobile as a Software Engineer and was jointly responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining multiple systems. From 2013 to 2014, Ernst worked at Mob Invest as a Lead Developer, where they focused on adopting agile methods and implementing software systems. In 2014, they joined Mobile Solutions International BV as a Lead Developer and continued in that role until 2019. At Harlem Next, Ernst has taken on various roles since 2019, including Tech Lead Deliverability and Software Architect, where they have been involved in designing systems, streamlining mail delivery, and managing technical challenges in email strategy and deliverability.

Ernst Nijhuis received their education from various institutions over the years. Ernst first attended Christelijk Lyceum Veenendaal from 1992 to 1998, where they obtained their VWO degree. Following that, they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Psychology at the University of Amsterdam from 2002 to 2009. Subsequently, Ernst studied Computer Science at the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences from 2006 to 2012, culminating in another Bachelor's degree. In addition to their formal education, Ernst obtained the Google Cloud Certified Professional Cloud Architect certification in March 2022 from Google.
