Miguel Mendez III

Miguel Mendez III, MSW, has extensive experience in social work, having served in various roles since 2000. Currently, at Harlem United, Miguel works as a Social Worker (ADHC) and Care Manager (Health Homes), focusing on chronic illnesses, mental health diagnoses, and substance abuse support, while facilitating connections between patients and care providers. Prior to this role, Miguel was involved in patient navigation at BOOM!Health, where responsibilities included coordinating medical services and ensuring medication adherence. Miguel's earlier experience at Housing Works encompassed care management, crisis intervention, group facilitation, and supervision of staff, coupled with developing strategies for quality assurance. Miguel holds a Master of Social Work from New York University and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Social Work from LIU Brooklyn.
