Amanda Donaldson has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Amanda began their career as a Chief Stewardess on private super yachts from 1995 to 2000. Amanda then worked as an HR Manager and Team Secretary for the Oneworld Challenge- Americas Cup Challenge team. Amanda later worked as an Executive Support Manager to the Director International at Auckland University of Technology from 2003 to 2005. Amanda then joined a private maritime company as a Senior Director of Human Resources from 2006 to 2008. Amanda continued their HR career as a People Operations Manager at a private company from 2008 to 2010 and as a Marketing and Communications Manager at Bayleys Real Estate from 2010 to 2011.
Amanda then transitioned into the role of an HR Manager at Sofrana Unilines (N.Z.) Limited, a niche regional maritime company, leading and developing HR processes from 2011 to 2013. Amanda further enhanced their skills and experience as an Executive Support to the General Manager at Opus International Consultants Limited, a leading engineering consultancy, from 2013 to 2016.
In 2017, Amanda joined Harmoney, where they have held multiple roles. Amanda started as an HR Manager and Executive Support to the CEO from 2017 to 2019. During this time, they won the Judges Distinction Award in 2018 and was responsible for leading and developing HR practices and people & culture function. Amanda then advanced to the position of Head of HR from 2019 to 2022, where they were recognized as one of the top 10 Most influential figures in the industry, and won the Excellence Award for NZ HR Manager Of The Year in 2021. Currently, Amanda serves as the Head of People and Culture at Harmoney.
