Balaguru Ravikumar

Balaguru Ravikumar started their work experience as a Graduate Researcher at the University of Helsinki in 2014. In this role, they focused on formalizing rational-based solutions in computer-aided drug discovery approaches, ensuring compliance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and GDPR.

In 2019, Ravikumar joined Aidian as a Software Modelling Engineer. Balaguru was responsible for researching and developing algorithms for in vitro diagnostics (IVD) and point-of-care diagnostic instruments. Additionally, they worked on developing applications to enhance device-client usability and data collection. Balaguru held this position until November 2021.

Currently, Balaguru Ravikumar is serving as the Director of Chemical Informatics at Harmonic Discovery, starting in November 2021.

Balaguru Ravikumar completed their education in a sequential manner. Balaguru started their academic journey in 2008 at PSG College of Technology, where they pursued a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Biotechnology, completing it in 2011. Following this, from 2011 to 2013, they attended Jawaharlal Nehru University, where they obtained a Master of Technology (M.Tech.) in Computational and Systems Biology. Continuing their educational pursuits, Balaguru then enrolled at the University of Helsinki in 2013 and graduated in 2018 with a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Biomathematics, Bioinformatics, and Computational Biology.

In addition to their formal degrees, Balaguru also obtained two additional certifications. In June 2008, they received the Autodesk AutoCAD User Certification from Autodesk. Later, in June 2019, they obtained the GOOD CLINICAL PRACTICE (GCP) certification from The National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA).
