Sibongile Thanjekwayo

Sibongile Thanjekwayo is an experienced human resources professional with a robust background spanning over 20 years in various HR leadership roles within the mining and corporate sectors. Currently serving as a Human Resources Leader at Harmony Gold Mining Company Limited since June 2019, Sibongile specializes in strategic HR initiatives, compliance, and employee education. Prior roles include HR Manager Operations at Assmang Iron Ore Pty Ltd, HR Manager at Platinum Group Metals, and HR Business Partner at Hernic Ferrochrome, among others. Sibongile holds a Bachelor of Admin Honours in HR Management and a Bachelor of Arts in HR Management from North-West University, along with an Executive Leadership Program from the University of Pretoria.
