Matt Emery Fsa

Matt Emery has a diverse work experience in the actuarial field. Matt is currently employed at HarmonyCares as the Vice President of Actuarial Services since April 2023. Prior to that, they held the position of Associate Vice President of Actuarial Services at both HarmonyCares from April 2022 to April 2023 and US Medical Management from April 2022 to September 2022. From December 2019 to March 2022, Matt worked as a Consulting Actuary at Milliman. Before that, they held various roles at Independence Blue Cross, including Associate Actuary and Manager from July 2016 to November 2019, Assistant Actuary I & II from December 2014 to June 2016, Actuarial Analyst II from June 2014 to December 2014, and Actuarial Specialist from June 2012 to June 2014. Matt also gained experience as an Actuarial Intern at Independence Blue Cross from October 2011 to April 2012 and as an Informatics Intern at AmeriHealth Caritas from June 2011 to August 2011.

Matt Emery FSA, MAAA, CERA holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and Economics from Saint Joseph's University. Matt also attended Phillips Academy but did not complete a specific degree or field of study there. In 2015, Matt obtained the MAAA certification from the American Academy of Actuaries, and in 2016, they obtained both the FSA and CERA certifications from the Society of Actuaries.
