Hemanth Mantri

Hemanth Mantri's work experience begins with their role as a Summer Intern at Computer Maintenance Corporation in 2006. Here, they were involved in implementing a Knowledge Management System using PHP and MySQL.

After that, in 2008, they joined NetApp as a Member Technical Staff in RAID Development. Hemanth worked in this position until 2011 and was responsible for building content repository value adds on top of Hadoop's HDFS. Additionally, they designed and implemented the Shared Write Address Protocol (SWAP), a RDMA protocol library compatible with Infiniband and iWARP.

In 2012, Hemanth worked as a Network File Systems Intern at Apple for a few months.

Shortly after, in 2013, they started working at Nutanix as a Staff Engineer and later became a Sr. Technical Manager. In this role, they were a Tech Lead Manager in the Acropolis Hypervisor (AHV) Virtual Machine (VM) Control Plane team. Hemanth contributed to various projects, including AHV Synchronous Replication, Cross Cluster Live Migration for AHV VMs, support for Compute Only nodes in Nutanix cluster, and support for GPU and vGPU for AHV VMs.

In 2011, Hemanth was a Graduate Student at The University of Texas at Austin. During this time, they also served as a Teaching Assistant for the courses CS439 and CS372, where they conducted discussion sessions, held office hours, and graded assignments.

Finally, as of 2021, Hemanth is a Principal Software Engineer at Harness, where they are actively involved in the hiring process.

Hemanth Mantri holds a B.E.(Hons.) degree in Computer Science and an M.Sc.(Hons.) degree in Economics, both obtained from the Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani. Hemanth pursued further education and completed their Master's degree in Computer Science from The University of Texas at Austin between 2011 and 2013. Additionally, they obtained certifications in "Blockchain Basics" and "Learning Cloud Computing: Serverless Computing" from LinkedIn in September 2017. Hemanth also holds a NetApp Certified Data Management Administrator (NCDA) certification from NetApp.
