Matt Schillerstrom

Matt Schillerstrom has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Matt is currently a Senior Product Marketing Manager at Harness, where they focus on enabling software engineering teams to deliver code efficiently and reliably. In addition to their current role, Matt is an Organizer for the Twin Cities Chaos Engineering Community, contributing to the growth of Chaos Engineering practices within the Minneapolis community.

In previous positions, Matt served as the President and Treasurer of the Business Continuity Planners Association, a non-profit organization delivering business continuity and disaster recovery training. At Gremlin, they were a Senior Product Manager, responsible for product development. Prior to that, Matt worked at Target as a Lead Engineer/Product Owner, where they contributed to the development of Chaos Engineering and Resiliency Engineering strategies for critical applications.

Matt's earlier work includes roles at Xcel Energy, where they were involved in business resilience, IT disaster recovery, and system administration. Matt'sresponsibilities at Xcel Energy included managing the business impact analysis, developing disaster recovery plans, and maintaining infrastructure. Matt also served as an Information Technology Consultant, managing the helpdesk and providing technical expertise.

Furthermore, Matt has held leadership positions in educational and community organizations. Matt was the Chairman of the Upper Midwest Chapter of the Vibration Institute and the President of the Monticello Social Club.

Before their career in the technology sector, Matt worked as an I.T. Lab Supervisor at the College of Saint Benedict and Saint John's University.
