Jamie Light

Deputy Director, PJ Library at Harold Grinspoon Foundation

Jamie Light's work experience includes a variety of roles spanning different organizations. They began their career as a Graduate Assistant and House Director at Bowling Green State University, where they provided counseling, advised sorority officers, and managed logistics for conferences.

Afterward, Jamie worked at Baldwin Wallace University, first as Coordinator of the Wellness Resource Center, then as Director of the Center for Alcohol and Related Issues Education, and later as Director of Greek Life. In these positions, they developed and implemented educational programs, built partnerships with community agencies, and advised student leaders on various aspects of campus life.

Jamie also served as Interim Director of Community Outreach and Service Learning at Baldwin Wallace University, empowering student leaders and developing partnerships with community agencies.

Moving forward, Jamie joined Zeta Beta Tau Fraternity as the Interim Coordinator of Leadership and Engagement, where they created an online learning community and developed leadership training modules.

As a self-employed consultant, they worked with non-profit organizations and universities on strategic storytelling, planning, customer service, fundraising, and social media strategy.

Currently, Jamie is employed at the Harold Grinspoon Foundation, where they have held several roles including Engagement Officer, Consultant, Director of the PJ Library International Conference and Content Lead, Director of Conferences and Events, and currently, the Director of Partnerships and Events.

Jamie Light attended Washington University in St. Louis from 1991 to 1995, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Business. Following their undergraduate studies, Jamie pursued a Master's degree at Bowling Green State University from 1995 to 1997, specializing in College Student Personnel. In terms of additional certifications, Jamie obtained a Virtual Event and Meeting Management Certification from the Event Leadership Institute in March 2021. They also hold a certification as a Myers Briggs Type Indicator Certified Practitioner, although the institution and specific details regarding its attainment are not provided.
