Isha Mehmood

Isha Mehmood serves as Senior Counsel and Head of Global Compliance at HarperCollins Publishers since April 2023, overseeing the global compliance and business ethics program for one of the world's largest consumer book publishers. Concurrently, Isha is a member of the Global Advisory Board for Education For Employment - Global, which aims to enhance economic opportunities for unemployed youth in the Middle East and North Africa through training and entrepreneurship support. Previously, Isha held the position of Director of Global Compliance Counsel at News Corp, managing internal investigations and compliance initiatives across various media and publishing companies. As co-founder of Inaayah, Isha led efforts to support migrant and refugee communities, raising over $90,000 and providing numerous free meals. Earlier legal roles include working as an associate in litigation and dispute resolution at DLA Piper and Herbert Smith Freehills, and as a research assistant at New York University School of Law. Isha's educational background includes a Juris Doctor from New York University School of Law and a Master of Science from American University, among other degrees.
