Nellie Kurtzman has a wealth of experience in marketing and publicity, holding various leadership roles in major publishing companies. Nellie started their career as an Advertising Manager at Penguin Publishing Group in 2000. Nellie then worked as an Associate Director of Marketing at Simon & Schuster Children's Publishing from 2002 to 2005, where they planned marketing strategies for popular titles such as Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Sponge Bob. Nellie then moved to Disney Publishing Worldwide, where they became the Director of Digital and Trade Marketing from 2005 to 2012. In this role, they managed large budgets and orchestrated marketing campaigns for children's authors and Disney properties. Nellie was subsequently appointed as Vice President of Marketing at Little, Brown and Company, where they oversaw a team of 12 and executed marketing campaigns for 200 titles per year, including campaigns for authors like Lemony Snicket and properties such as Monster High. Nellie then joined K&TW as an Executive Producer and Co-Founder in 2014 for a brief period. Since 2015, Nellie has been a key figure at HarperCollins Publishers, first serving as the Director of Integrated Marketing before being promoted to Vice President of Marketing & Publicity. In their current role, they lead a team of 50 individuals, managing a multi-million-dollar budget and driving marketing strategies for over 400 titles annually. Nellie has also initiated collaborations with renowned brands such as Little Free Library, BabyBel, and Save the Children, further enhancing the company's brand presence.
