Edward Moore

President at Harrington HealthCare System

As President of Harrington Hospital, Ed Moore is responsible for the overall operation and expansion of both the hospital and the entire Harrington HealthCare System. He has led the effort to bring the hospital’s offerings to the community, through the opening of medical office buildings and other satellite facilities.

Moore, with oversight of the Board of Directors, also has individual responsibility for all members of the Senior Leadership Team and the Behavioral Health Service Line. Ed works to develop and implement the overall strategic direction of the Harrington HealthCare System, and is responsible for its financial health.

He has more than 35 years of experience in healthcare management. Moore came to Harrington in July 2007 from MetroWest Medical Center, where he was Chief Operating Officer as well as the Administrator for the center’s Leonard Morse Hospital in Natick, Mass. Prior to that, he held executive positions at Eastern Connecticut Health Network in Manchester, Conn.; VHA Northeast in Braintree, Mass.; Mt. Auburn Hospital in Cambridge, Mass.; Roger Williams Medical Center in Providence, R.I.; and Newton-Wellesley Hospital in Newton, Mass.

Moore received an MBA in Hospital Administration from George Washington University and a Bachelor of Science in Management, cum laude, from the State University of New York at Binghamton.
