Jon Davies

Jon Davies is the current General Counsel at Harris Computer. Prior to this, they worked as Corporate Counsel for Constellation Software Inc. from March 2017 to August 2019. Before that, they were an Associate at Alpine Growth Partners from May 2015 to August 2015.

From August 2011 to April 2014, Jon Davies worked as an Associate at Davies Ward Phillips & Vineberg LLP. During their time there, they led the $40 million initial public offering of Potash Ridge Corporation and closed $5.65 billion in aggregate public offerings of debt securities for Rogers Communications Inc. Jon also acted for GrowthWorks Ltd. in its proxy battle and successful opposition to a plan of arrangement put forward by VenGrowth Funds in proceedings before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice.

Jon Davies has also worked closely with the business development group of Xstrata Nickel to negotiate and draft a co-operation agreement with KGHM International Ltd. to lease out the infrastructure of a non-operating mine in Sudbury and helped Xstrata Nickel capture a $10 million upfront payment and ongoing rents of $2 million per year. Jon has also acted for Aurora Oil & Gas Ltd. in a A$120 million underwritten offering of special warrants and ordinary shares and its listing on the TSX. In addition, they have completed several private M&A transactions for private equity funds such as Ironbridge Equity Partners Ltd., Signal Hill Equity Partners and Fiera Capital.

Jon Davies has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Toronto - Rotman School of Management, a Juris Doctor (J.D.) in Law from Queen's University, and an Honours Bachelor of Commerce (summa cum laude) from McMaster University. Jon also has a certification from the Law Society of Upper Canada.
