Pernilla Johansson

Pernilla Johansson, PhD, currently serves as the Director of the Research and Analysis Division at the Harris County Office of County Administration, a position held since February 2024. Prior to this, Pernilla worked as a Strategic Advisor for the Travis County Juvenile Probation Department from July 2023 to February 2024, and as the Manager of Data Analytics at Bexar County Juvenile Probation Department from February 2019 to July 2023. Additionally, Pernilla has extensive experience in research and planning roles within Texas juvenile justice systems, including serving as the Director of Research and Planning at the Texas Juvenile Justice Department and as the Manager of Research and Statistics at the Dallas County Juvenile Department. In the academic arena, Pernilla has held positions such as Assistant Director of The Eugene McDermott Scholars Program and has served as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Texas at Dallas. Pernilla holds a PhD in Public Policy and Political Economy, an MPA in Policy Analysis, and a FK/BSc in Criminology from reputable institutions.
