Anjel Johnson

Anjel Johnson, M.A., is an experienced professional in public relations and community engagement, currently serving as the Community Engagement Manager for Harris County Precinct One Commissioner Rodney Ellis since July 2022. With a background in freelance public relations as a Senior Account Executive at A.Johnson Public Relations since January 2010, Anjel has also held significant positions such as Director of Public Affairs at a non-profit organization, where responsibilities included developing grassroots advocacy strategies and managing health center-based programs. Additional experience includes roles as Communications Director at Elite Change, LLC, and the Adrian Collins Campaign, as well as earlier positions in communications and sales coordination at various organizations. Anjel holds a Master of Arts in Communications with a focus on Public Relations from the University of Houston and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Radio and Television from Sam Houston State University.
