Alan Palmer

Head Of Governance at Harris Federation.

Alan Palmer has worked in various roles and organizations throughout their career. In 2004, they started as an Executive Adviser at CfBT and stayed there until July 2005. From November 2005 to June 2011, they worked as a Policy Adviser at the Higher Education Funding Council for England. In July 2011, they joined the British Academy as a Senior Policy Adviser until January 2014. From January 2014 to June 2021, they served as the Head of Policy and Research at MillionPlus: The Association for Modern Universities. Currently, since June 2021, they hold the position of Governor Services Lead at the Harris Federation and has been recently promoted to Head of Governance in September 2022.

Alan Palmer completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in History and Government from the University of Essex, where they studied from 1993 to 1996. In 1997, they attended the University of Southampton and obtained a Postgraduate Diploma in International Relations and Security Studies, completing their studies in 1998.
