Helen Marie Berg

Helen Marie Berg is an associate at HWG LLP, where she focuses her practice on civil litigation, telecommunications law, and data protection & privacy law. She is currently on secondment to a client.

Prior to entering private practice, Helen Marie clerked for the Honorable Rebecca Goodgame Ebinger of the United States District Court for the Southern District of Iowa.

She received her J.D., cum laude, from the University of Michigan School of Law, where she served as Executive Production Editor of the Michigan Law Review and was awarded the Howard B. Coblentz Prize for Outstanding Contribution to the Michigan Law Review. Helen Marie was also named a 2017 Detroit Bar Association Legal Scholar for co-authoring the paper Litigation Strategies for Blight Remediation in Detroit: Curbing Property Owners’ “Invest and Neglect” Scheme.

Helen Marie received her B.A., summa cum laude, from the Catholic University of America, where she was a University Scholar and elected Phi Beta Kappa.

Prior to entering law school, Helen Marie was a Fulbright Scholar in Turkey, where she taught classes at Atatürk University.
